scholarship recognition program

The Montgomery County Chapter of NAACP supports education by awarding scholarships to deserving high school graduates who are residents of the county. Our objective is to encourage students to graduate from high school and continue their education by providing much needed scholarships of $500 - $1,000 to talented seniors.

We appreciate the community support we have received in previous years, and we thank you!  We have been successful in awarding eighteen $1,000 scholarships to graduating high school seniors over the past eight years.  In 2019 we were able to award three scholarships.  We would like to increase that number next year.   With your continued support and donations, we can achieve that goal. Donation forms can be found at the link below.  Please make checks payable to "MCNAACP #6304" and note that the donation is for the Scholarship Fund on the memo line. Mail donations to MCNAACP #6304 Treasurer, PO Box 2712, Conroe, TX 77305. Logos for corporate sponsors will posted on the website.

The 2019 scholarship application process is finished.  Thanks to all of the scholars who applied. With support from the community and the sponsors listed below, we were able to award three scholarships in 2019. Congratulations to John Aguirre Ayala of Conroe High School, Jermichael Dickerson of Willis High School and Oluwafunmilayo Tomiwa Tella of Oak Ridge High School!

THE 2020 SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION FORMS ARE LINKED BELOW.  THE APPLICATION DEADLINE HAS BEEN EXTENDED TO MAY 15TH DUE TO COVID-19 CONCERNS.
