scholarship recognition program

The Montgomery County Chapter of NAACP supports education by awarding scholarships to deserving high school graduates who are residents of the county. Our objective is to encourage students to graduate from high school and continue their education by providing much needed scholarships of $1,000 to talented seniors.

We appreciate the community support we have received in previous years!  We have been successful in awarding $33,000 to graduating Montgomery County high school seniors over the past 13 years.   We awarded five scholarships in 2024.  With your support and donations, we can surpass that number in 2025.  Please make checks payable to "MCNAACP #6304" and note that it is for the Scholarship Fund on the memo line. (Contributions and gifts are not deductible as charitable contributions for federal income tax purposes; however, they are deductible as an ordinary business expense.)

The application period for the 2025 Back to School/Stay in School Scholarship Award is now open.  All applications must be completed and submitted by April 15, 2025.  Click the red button below get the application. Applications are also available from high school guidance counselors offices.
